Thailand


Thailand is situated in the southeast region of Asia. It has an over whelming combination of spectacular natural beauty, mesmerizing temples, famous hospitality, healthy food and its rich historic kingdoms. Thailand possess enormous mountains of Mae Hong Son, lavish islands of the Andaman Sea, pulse thumping dance clubs of Bangkok and calm villages along the Mekong river which take away the heart of the travelers. Travel to Thailand

Though to reach Thailand by air is a bit expensive, but once you reach Thailand you can bargain on the basement flights. Thailand is connected to all major parts of the world. Buses are the easiest way to roam around in Thailand. These are quite fast, air-conditioned ands very much comfortable. Buses are also available only for women. This facilitates women travelers to a great extend. You can get to Thailand via train if you first plan to visit Malaysia.. The only disadvantage in trains is that they make it a bit slow to reach the target. Though, they are a very cheerful and delightful option to go for. Another cheap alternative to travel in Thailand is motorbike or a car, but these may stuck you up in Thai traffic.

Thailand has the most wonderful attraction in the whole world. There are large numbers of places in Thailand that are incomparable to any other part of the world. Ko Samui also known as a Party Island has been the best choice that a traveler can have. Its turquoise water and its lightened sandy bays are among the best sight. It also has a row of restaurants to satisfy the hunger of the passerby and the nightlife is simply awesome. Another major attraction of Thailand is Ko Si Chang. Ko Si Chang is an island situated at the offshore from Chonburi Province on the gulf of Thailand and is virtually isolated. Exploring this island make it like a game of treasure hunt. Its main spots include a meditation center with reclusive caves, beaches, broken palaces, Chinese temples with sea views. Satun is another big tourist attraction in Thailand. It takes about 15 hours to reach here by bus from Bangkok. One of the famous attractions of this place is the WAT TRAIMIT (Temple of the Golden Buddha). This figure is 3m tall, weight is about 5.5tonn,and it has a very wonderful sight. This was once covered in stucco, but while covering this great statue fell and revealed the treasure inside the stucco.

Language

Thai is the national and the official language of Thailand. Though it is very much difficult and complex but it is unique in its own way! The main complexity with the Thai language is its tonal-the word can be pronounced in all ways whether a rising, falling, low, high tones. Each tone signifies different meaning to the same word.

Shopping

Thailand can be said as the bargain paradise. Thailand offers you a large variety of shopping and that too at a bargained price. This makes the shopping experience full of joy. In Thailand you can purchase anything that that you wish to shop whether its jewelry, high tech electronic items, shirts, trousers, jeans, and gold, silver etc. You name it and you have it. Even Chinese herbs and medicines are also available here. The markets of Thailand are the best places to experience the real Thailand. The local crafts are available in all markets of Thailand. Night bazaars are the biggest shopping interest for the shopoholics. It offers great bargains that one can ever have. If shopping is your choice, then fly off to Thailand and enjoy the experience.

Destinations in Thailand

Bangkok

Bangkok is one of the best destinations in Thailand. A person visiting Thailand, cannot even think of missing out Bangkok. Bangkok is full of cultural happenings. Bangkok is the commercial hub of Thailand.

Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai is Thailand’s second largest city and has outstanding mountain surroundings. It is a friendly, cheerful but a modern city. It offers quality shopping; food and cheap accommodation and the nights are cool.

Nakhon Pathom

Another popular destination among tourists visiting Thailand is Nakhon Pathom. Nakhon Pathom is situated at the western side of Bangkok and is one of the oldest cities in Thailand. Phra pathom Chedi here is the tallest Buddhist monument in the world. The Theravada Buddhists erected the pioneering monument, which is buried within the enormous dome, in the 6th century.
