General Info
Armenia is a country with mountainous terrain in Eurasia between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, situated in the Southern Caucasus. Visa Information
No letter of invitation is necessary from Armenia to gain a single entry visitors visa to reside in Armenia up to 21 days. For visits of longer than 21 days or any other type of visa, an official invitation is mandatory. For stays longer than three months, a nationality sanction has to be gained through the Foreign Ministry in Yerevan. Transit visa is necessary if Armenia is a stopping spot to travel on to other countries. This type of visa can be attained only in case of having fundamental visa. Transit visa is legitimate for three days.
Traveling to Armenia
The type of weather in Armenia is noticeably continental. Summers are dry and sunny, lasting from June to mid September. But the breezes from the mountain make the evenings very cool and refreshing. Armenia is a beautiful place to be. One of the most admired attractions of Armenia is Lake Sevan. In gorges and mainly on the seashore of Sevan or on the banks of Araks you can observe the transmigration of birds in spring and fall, take pleasure in the singing of storks and flamingos of dissimilar kinds and insignia. If you love art and architecture than Echmiadzin is a place for you. Echmiadzin is simply 20 km from Yerevan and is recognized as the center of the Armenia, Gregorian Church. Although Armenia's financial system is still comparatively immature and underdeveloped, new shops are now coming up in Armenia. The Vernisaj flea market in Yerevan draws sellers of all types of goods and is admired by the tourists for buying local goods. At bigger shops you can get credit card facilities. Also some of the shops and hotels accept traveler's cheques.
Entertainment
You can have a lot for your entertainment in Armenia. If you are an art lover, you can treat yourself at various museums and art galleries. National Gallery of Armenia is the most famous place. Sergej Parajanov Museum has a biography, a gallery of works, a catalog of exhibits and the manuscript of a dialogue with the famous film director Yereven. You can also entertain yourself with the famous Youth Chamber Orchestra that was created in the year 2002 and has become very popular amongst the young crowd. You have plenty of restaurants in Armenia to serve you delicious food. The two most famous restaurants are Cactus and the Phoenicia Restaurant.

Regarding the resorts in the country, there are normally small and cheap resorts and hotels available. But they do promise comfort and enjoyment. There is a large tourism complex in Tsapatagh Village which comprises of number of moderately priced hotels that offer luxury and a piece of good old architecture.
