Regarding the visas for Austria, nationals of EU-member states and of some other states only require an official ID card or, in particular cases, a passport that has ended within less than five years. According to the Schengen Agreement citizens of non-member states who need a visa can tour to Austria with a legitimate Schengen visa issued in some Schengen state, without having to gain an added Austrian visa, as long as the visa is not limited to other countries. If you are traveling with children, they should either have their own passport or must be registered in one of the parent's passport.
