It was at this point that the bearded pallid deity Viracocha and the foremost Incas, Manco Capac and his sister-wife Mama Huaca made their mystic appearances. There are many villages in the place. There is a site where there is a sacred rock, which is said to be the place where Inca creation legends actually started. There is a famous museum here, which includes artifacts of gold that were found in the underwater excavations in the north of Isla del Sol. The Museo Templo de Sol near Cha'lla has a great collection of things of Aymara, which were Bolivia’s largest native groups.

Language

The official languages of Bolivia are Quechua, Aymara and Spanish. The dialects that come from mixing of Spanish with Aymara and Spanish with Quechua are also very popular in the nation.

Every town and city of Bolivia has colorful markets that offer a great variety of goods for shopping. Shopping in Bolivia is reasonable and fun. You can get great artifacts from traditional merchants in the markets all over Bolivia. You can buy great items such as amulets, tonics, precisely crafted silver jewelry, spices, sweets and lots more. All this available at quite reasonable price without actually bargaining.

Destinations in Bolivia

La Paz

One of the most popular destinations in Bolivia is La Paz. La Paz is the highest capital city in the world. It looks very much like a moon crater. The city is known for its cultural heritage rather then its places. The city does not have the best of sceneries in Bolivia but the cultural wealth of the people in La Paz is worth seeing

Cochabamba

Cochabamba is one of the most popular destinations of the tourists to Bolivia who love drinking. Apart from the perfect climate of the place, the city has the most beautiful landscapes in Bolivia. Fertile lands and lush green hills cover it. The city has a history of its own that is seen in its archeological remains and buildings. The city is as old as of fifteenth century. The city has great places that are of archeological importance. There is a four hundred year old church, which is one of the major attractions for the tourists visiting Cochabamba.
