Although, Ecuador is a small country but it has lot of attractions for its tourists. One of the most loved attractions in the country is the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos archipelago is famous for its exclusive and courageous wildlife and as a Mecca for eco lovers. You can bathe with sea lions, glide eye-to-eye with penguins and stand next to a blue-footed booby as it feeds its juvenile. The infertile and volcanic scenery is matchless in its memorable exquisiteness. The islands stretch over 50000 square kilometers of the Pacific Ocean. The islands consist of thirteen main islands and six small islands. Another famous attraction of Ecuador is Parque Nacional Cotopaxi. The showpiece of Ecuador's most admired national park is the snowcapped and absolute seamless Volcan Cotopaxi, which is 5897 m high. It is Ecuador's second highest peak. Within the 33,393 hectares of national park that encloses the volcano, you will discover exceptional mountaineering and hiking opportunities. The park presents a good gaze at the Andean grasslands and the sights everywhere are awe-inspiring. The flora and fauna is attractive with bird life that comprises the seldom seen furry critters and Andean condor such as white tailed deer, the 35cm high little red brocket deer, rabbits, the cunning colpeo which is an Andean fox and pumas. The rare Andean bear exists on the distant and rarely visited eastern inclines of the park. Another attraction in Ecuador is Isla Bartolome. Visiting this place is an experience of the lifetime. Apart from some enormous museums and churches, paying a visit to El Panecillo, which means the little bread loaf, a mount with wonderful sights of the elderly town and a massive sculpture of the Virgin of Quito is worth the effort.
